A trellis can be a great way to add depth and dimension to a room. This wall covering pattern is made up of a latice of carved jade. The repeat is 13.5" x 50" at 100%. We could float this fretwork over the background of your choice.

Day 129 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Brushed Brass"

I found this brushed brass plate inside an antique clock and loved the look of it. Tell me if you agree.

Day 127 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Watermark"

Water can create some dazeling patterns and colors. With "Watermark" I use reflections on water to create the patterns and colors of silk in a large scale.

Day 125 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Chinoiserie Umbrella"

A few years ago Lena and Brooke were commissioned by Linda Chase of Linda Chase Associates to paint this patio umbrella with colorful and playful Chinoiserie panels. We can reproduce this in panels, on fabric (table cloth...) or, thinking outside the box, glass panels (stair rail or shower door...).

Day 124 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Nature's Lace"

This lacey design is part of a Venus fan (Gorgonia flabellum) found in the Caribbean Sea.  It is amazing what a shift of 45 degrees does to the look of the pattern. The max. repeat size is 49.5". You can choose any color or texture for the background.

Detail (NA0859-B)

(NA0859-B) This was photographed against the Caribbean waters, note that any texture or pattern in the background becomes a competing motif with the lace, which could enhance or compete.

Here I floated the pattern over a glaze background.

Day 123 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Playfully White"

Early one summer day Lena found these mushrooms growing in the grass. By the time I got my camera ready, the mushrooms were dying. I got what I could before they were gone and shot a series of the last one, as it went from healthy to shriveled.

As a wallpaper pattern each mushroom can be up to 3" with a repeat of 9" x 4.5 and you can choose your background color and/or texture.

Day 120 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Sage"

I found these Sage plants in a formal garden in Lincolnshire, UK. In this wallpaper pattern I have them floating in a soft green field.

Lena and Brooke have scolded me for using the kaleidoscopic effect so often. They say I will become "that guy", like "that guy with cats". One cat is OK, even cute, but more than three and you become "that guy". Here I have created a wallpaper with a repeat that is very difficult to discern.

Wallpaper repeat is 40" x 27.5" and this image represents a 7 foot by 10 foot section.

Day 119 ~ Wallpaper-a-day "Bronze Cannon"

This verdigris wall covering was created from the barrel of an antique bronze cannon. The repeat is 45" x 67". I found this cannon at a ruined castle built in the 13th century. Obviously, the cannon is more recent but who knows what rebellions it rebuffed.
